Erie Turntable is proud to announce the Orange County Transportation Festival at the Erie Turntable!
$5.00 General Admission
11AM to 4PM - Rain or Shine
On-Site Exhibits: The theater/gift shop boxcar, museum boxcar, Chessie System and Conrail cabooses, and dining car will be open to the public, and the event will also include demonstrations of the historic locomotives and the turntable on site. Additionally, there will be many visiting vehicles and historic displays!
Food & Drink: The Dining Car Society will be serving up some burgers, hot dogs, and a few classic railroad recipes (including the Erie Lackawanna’s famous BBQ sauce). These food items, as well as water and soft drinks, will be available for purchase throughout the day.
For the Kids: A scavenger hunt will be available for kids to visit each piece of equipment and learn a fun fact about it. Inquire at the entry tent/table to get your scavenger hunt paperwork!
Parking: As on-site parking is limited, visitors to the event are encouraged to take advantage of Metro-North’s/NJ Transit’s commuter rail service. The Port Jervis train station is just 650 feet from the event entrance. The latest commuter schedules are available at this link.
Visiting Exhibits: Show vehicles and historic exhibits attend free! If you are interested in bringing a car, truck, carriage, boat, or other vehicle (the more, the merrier), or if you’d like to have a different kind of historic display at the event, check out our registration link.
Visiting Vendors: 10’x10’ vendor spaces are available for $30/each to vendors selling transportation-related merchandise ONLY. Transportation-related non-profit organizations qualify for a FREE vendor/display space. Visit our registration link to secure your space!
